Nicholas-Rory (Nick) started in the biz with a local paint retailer. Not long after he was painting for a large contruction company here in Kingston. Paul and Nick started working together in the spring of 2023. Months after, we signed him up for his apprenticeship, and now, as of June 2025, Nick is a Journeyman.

A singer, musician and song-writer in both english and french Nick's passion for music blends into his work; he's meticulous, adventurous and always looking at things from a new perspective.

Michael Lalonde

Painter & Fine Finish Specialist

With roots in high-end renovation work in Montreal and a background in fine arts from the Kingston School of Art and the Pointe St. Charles Artist Collective, Mike brings an artist’s touch to every project. His eye for detail shines through in everything from precision paintwork to surface restoration. Outside of his role at Cardinal Painting, he also runs a side business refinishing furniture and creating custom pieces — a perfect outlet for his creativity and craftsmanship.

Ryan's dedication in all his work shows through by what our customer's say about him. We always receive comments like this: "Ryan was professional. We enjoyed having him work in our home, we trust him" and "He was thorough in his work, he was respectful and very clean. Thank you!"
During the day, he's a talented Painter. But in his private time Ryan shines through as a professional drummer. He collaborates with other local artists and can been seen regularly around town.
